2026: Don’t renege on your promise – Oyinlola tells Osun workers

By Tunde Olamilekan

The former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has urged workers in the state to keep their promise of supporting Governor Ademola Adeleke’s second-term bid.

Oyinlola made the appeal on Monday during the annual state Inter-Religious prayer held at the state secretariat Abere.

The former governor was reacting to the declaration by the leadership of the Osun State chapter of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees that workers in the state are behind the governor.

Oyinlola noted that the development the state is witnessing should be allowed to continue, adding that workers should not allow Osun to go back to the “dark days”.

He said, “We should not allow them to return us to the dark age in Osun. The development the state is witnessing through Governor Ademola Adeleke should not stop.

“To our workers, let us ensure we fulfil our promises. I am saying this because when I was the governor of this state, the workers also promised me.”
