The Nigerian Society of Engineers, NSE, the umbrella body for the Engineering Profession in Nigeria, on Monday, conferred its prestigious distinguished fellowship on the Chief Executive Officer of Armstrong Paints, Engr. Adisa Uthman Adekunle.
The fellowship was conferred on him by the President of NSE, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, at an event held at the University of Ibadan conference centre.
Speaking after he was conferred with the fellowship, Engr. Adekunle expressed his happiness, noting that FNSE is the highest level in the engineering profession.
He appreciated the society for counting him worthy and promised to ensure the continued growth of the society.
He said, “I feel so happy and honoured to be part of this 2025 exercise. This is the highest level in the engineering profession so I’m happy and delighted and thankful to God as well.
“As a member of the society, a lot and much more is actually expected from me and my business. So I will make sure I put in all my efforts and energy and make sure I can bring up some other fellow engineers through my engineering practices.”
Engr Adekunle obtained B.Eng. in
Chemical Engineering from the University of Technology, Minna, Niger State.
He founded Armstrong Paints Limited in 2009 with a vision to provide high-quality paints and coatings to the Nigerian market.
Throughout his illustrious career, Adekunle has spearheaded projects encompassing: Topside coating projects, Production monitoring, System integration, Process automation
Engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, installation, operation, and maintenance (EPCCIOM).
As sole founder and Managing Director/CEO of Armstrong Paints Limited, Adekunle drives strategic growth, leveraging his extensive training in various local and international workshops.
He is a recipient of several awards and honours, including The Prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Under his leadership, Armstrong Paints Limited has won several awards, including The Most
Distinguished Paint Manufacturing Brand Award, And Best Paint of The Year Award.
The colourful event was witnessed by family, friends, professional colleagues and associates.
