The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has said he does not have any regret about coming forward to be a king, adding that the development, growth, and progress of Iwoland remain his primary focus.
The monarch stated this in a statement released in celebration of his 10 years as Iwo king.
Oba Akanbi was announced as the Oluwo by the Osun State Government under the leadership of former governor Rauf Aregbesola on November 9th, 2015.
He said: “I’ve no regret being a king. I enjoy every moment of life because it always presents a challenging task to serve humanity. Just like my father did, I derive more strength, joy, and enthusiasm in providing succour.
“The four years were eventful. Many queried where we got the strength, the courage, and spirituality to promote my kingdom and her people. Everything is credited to God. HE is the pilot and perfectly in control
“Development, growth, and progress of my land, State of Osun, and Nigeria is my primary focus. We need a new hope of atmosphere. Politicians alone can’t fix Nigeria, it is our collective aspiration.”
