Ajilesoro lights up Akinlalu community with solar-powered streetlights

The lawmaker representing Ife Federal Constituency, Hon Abimbola Ajilesoro, has lit up Akinlalu community in Ife-North Local Government Area of Osun State with the installation of solar streetlights.

Akinlalu community was recently thrown into mourning following the killing of some indigenes of the town by operatives of Osun Amotekun.

The solar streetlights, according to joyous residents who spoke in a video obtained by osun.life have boosted the economy of the town.

The Alakinla of Akinlalu, Oba Oluwabusola Oloyede, appreciated the All Progressives Congress lawmaker for the gesture.

Oba Oloyede who said the installation of the solar light was a promise by the Ajilesoro, lauded the lawmaker for fulfilling his promise.

“When we spoke last year, you promised me that you would light up the community once you got back to Ife and you have fulfilled your promise.

“You are a good person and my prayer is that God will continue to bless you. We appreciate you in Akinlalu and we wish you success always”, the monarch stated.

The youth leader of the community, Musibau Adeboye, said the solar streetlights have boosted the community economy, adding that people now trade till night unlike before.

He said, “My people are happy since the solar streetlights were installed. Before the intervention of Hon Ajilesoro, our community was always dark at night.

“The installation of the solar streetlights has helped to boost the economy of the community. Residents can now trade till late in the night.”
