‎IGP presents N40m cheques to deceased Osun officers’ families

‎The Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Gotan, has presented cheques worth N40,360,075.66 to families and next of kin of Forty-five (45) deceased Police Officers in Osun State.

The gesture was part of the Inspector-General of Police’s family welfare packages and Group Life Assurance Scheme.

According to a statement by Command spokesperson, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, Gotan was represented at the event, which was held on Wednesday at the command’s headquarters, Osogbo, by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Finance and Administration, DCP Adebisi Bola Lateef.

The statement said ‎the Commissioner of Police, on behalf of the IGP, urged the beneficiaries to use the money judiciously, while praying to Almighty God to repose the souls of the deceased Police Officers.

Gotan equally appreciated the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, P.hD, NPM for the altruistic gesture.

‎The CP assured that the Police would not relent in its welfare scheme for its personnel and also take care of the families of those who have sacrificed their lives fighting for the peace and progress of our dear nation.
