The lawmaker representing Osun West, Lere Oyewumi, has submitted a petition to the Senate over the alleged unlawful dismissal of some military officers from the district.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Oyewumi, who is the Senate deputy minority leader, said the petition was to seek justice for the military officers’ alleged unlawful disengagement from service.

He wrote, “As the duly elected representative of the good people of Osun West Senatorial District, I remain committed to voicing their concerns, advancing their interests, and ensuring that meaningful development reaches every part of our constituency.

“During plenary, I also submitted a petition on behalf of some illegally dismissed military officers from Osun West, seeking justice and appropriate remedy for their unlawful disengagement from service.

“Together, we will continue to work towards a stronger, more prosperous, and inclusive Osun West and by extension, a better Nigeria.”
