Man alleges Osun Commissioner duped family of N350k severance pay in 1995

By Tunde Olamilekan

An X user, DON “Tobechukwu” Ade @Row_Haastrup, has alleged that a serving Commissioner in Osun State duped his family to the tune of N350,000 in 1995.

The X user said the Commissioner, whom he did not mention, partnered with his father and allegedly duped him.

He stated this while replying to a post by another X user, Olúwatósìn Olaseinde, @tosinolaseinde, who asked who to share life experiences/decisions that happened to their family that they struggled to recover from financially?

According to Tobechukwu, the Commissioner, after collecting the N350,000, which he said was his father’s settlement after retiring from his job, ran away with the entire money to Cote D’Ivoire.

He noted that the development led his family into real deep poverty.

He wrote, “My dad resigned from his job in 1995 with the hope of setting up a business with his 350k settlement. The man he was to partner with duped him & ran away with the entire money to Cote D’Ivoire & then we entered into real deep poverty – the kind of poverty that scares the poor. The man who duped my dad is now a current commissioner in Osun state.”

“Tobechukwu” is the founder of Arise SLG, a consulting firm and Training Institute based in Alberta, Canada.
