SUBEB Chairman calls for unity in PDP ahead of Osun guber poll

By Tunde Olamilekan

The chairman of the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Ibukun Fadipe, has called for unity among members of the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the August 08, 2026, governorship election.

Fadipe made the call while congratulating the newly elected party executives across the ten wards of Ilesa West.

It would be recalled that the PDP in Osun State held its ward congresses on Saturday.

In a statement on Monday by his media office, Fadipe who spoke at the Ilesa West PDP Local Government Meeting, commended party members and leaders for their peaceful conduct during the congress.

He emphasized the need for unity, harmony, and collective effort, stressing that the PDP must remain one indivisible family as the party prepares for the 2026 election.

The SUBEB boss said PDP’s victory in Ilesa West in the forthcoming election will be “unparalleled and more overwhelming than ever before considering the giant strides of Governor Ademola Adeleke, in infrastructure, education, workers’ welfare, health, and grassroots development.”

He added that “The Governor has made our people proud, and his performance alone is enough to win more hearts and more votes for our great party.”

Fadipe further charged the newly elected ward executives to work hand-in-hand with stakeholders, leaders, and all party faithful to strengthen the base of the party from ward to local government level.

He urged them to prioritize inclusion, respect for leadership structures, and genuine collaboration to sustain the PDP’s dominance.
