The campaign poster of the former Commissioner of Information in Osun State, Oluomo Sunday Akere, has created excitement among members of the All Progressives Congress in the state.
The posters which had the former Commissioner on Information and Strategy to Governor Rauf Aregbesola and Special Adviser on Politics to Governor Gboyega Oyetola as a senatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) flooded social media yesterday.
Meanwhile, Akere has not confirmed nor denied his interest in running for the Osun Central position in the next election.
However, the poster has generated a lot of reactions with some supporters saying the Igbajo-born politician was more than qualified for the position.
A member of the APC, Adeniran Olawale described Akere as a grassroot politician who will give Osun Central the true representation it deserves.
“Hon. Akere is eminently qualified and possesses the grassroot credentials to give Osun Central the representation it deserves.”
“Oluomo is a politician with candour and colour with deep affinity for his people, he will surely represent us well,” Olawale said.
