Osun 2026: Ex-Reps member urges APC to conduct free, fair primary

A former member of the House of Representatives for Ede Federal Constituency, Ajibade Falade, has called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure that the party’s gubernatorial primary is transparent.

Falade, in a video posted on social media, noted that only a transparent and credible primary process could strengthen the APC and position it to win the August 08 election.

Speaking in the video, the former lawmaker who openly aligned with a gubernatorial aspirant under the APC, Bola Oyebamiji, also urged the party leaders to forbid chieftains of the party from being coordinators for the gubernatorial aspirants.

He urged members of the party to embrace fairness and put the collective interest of the APC above personal ambitions.

He said, “The primaries must be free, fair, and credible. Our party leaders should not allow any chieftain of the party to be a coordinator for any of the aspirants.

“That is the only way to unify our members, retain public confidence. Our party has twelve aspirants now, and each of them has their own agenda. The party should set a day when members of the party will come and queue behind their preferred candidates.”
