The lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Ejigbo, and Egbedore Federal Constituency, Bamidele Salam, has announced the shortlisting of no fewer than 1200 tertiary institution students from the constituency for the 2025 bursary award.
According to the lawmaker, the bursary initiative was aimed at supporting academically qualified students facing financial challenges in the pursuit of higher education.
“The National Teachers’ Institute (NTI), Kaduna, is serving as the implementing agency for the programme, ensuring transparency and effective coordination throughout the selection process,” the lawmaker noted.
According to Salam, the bursary application which officially launched on June 30, 2025, drew thousands of applicants across universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education, with successful candidates meeting stringent eligibility and documentation requirements.
“The bursary team has begun notifying successful candidates via SMS, wherein they are advised to bring along a Valid School ID Card, a Current School Fees Receipt, and a Local Government of Origin Certificate or NPC Birth Certificate for final clearance to receive the award.
“The official disbursement of the bursary will take place on Tuesday, 16th September, 2025, at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Ede in Osun State,” Salam added.
