The Osun State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps, has arrested a 26-year-old man, Elijah Olawale who allegedly had canal knowledge of his 9-year-old stepdaughter.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of Osun Amotekun Corps, Idowu Yusuf, noted that the victim’s mother reported the case to the agency.
He noted that the incident happened at Ijebu-Ijesha, adding that Elijah ‘confessed’ to defiling the girl.
In a similar vein, the statement said personnel of the Amotekun Corps apprehended a 60-year-old man,
Adeleke Sodiq, who ‘forcefully’ had carnal knowledge a 6-year-old girl in Ode-omu.
The old man, according to the Amotekun PRO was caught in the act, adding that the suspect pleaded and confessed that it was his first time of perpetrating the act.
The Amotekun Corps Commander, Adekunle Omoyele reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to community safety and proactive intelligence gathering.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest Amotekun command or relevant security agencies.
