Governor Ademola Adeleke has dissociated himself from a fraudulent page that was reportedly opened towards his 65th birthday.
A statement by Adeleke’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, said the governor has nothing to do with the page tagged “Helping Hand Foundation”.
The statement noted that Adeleke did not launch or authorize any such initiative, urging the general public to be wary of the fraudsters.
The statement stated: “Our attention has been drawn to fraudulent claims that Governor Ademola Adeleke is running a so-called ‘Helping Hand Foundation’ allegedly linked to his 65th birthday. This is false and fraudulent.
“We wish to state clearly that His Excellency has not launched or authorized any such initiative. We therefore urge the general public to disregard these fake messages and remain vigilant against scammers.”
