Former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters under the administration of Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, Prince Adebayo Adeleke, has condemned the over-concentration of physical projects in Ede town by the current administration.

Adeleke, popularly called Banik, said the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke has prioritized Ede, his hometown, leaving behind other towns, including the state capital, Osogbo.

Speaking while appearing on a private radio programme on Sunday in Osogbo, Adeleke, urged the Timi of Ede, Oba Adesola Lawal, to call the governor to order, adding that other cities also need government interventions.

According to him, the Adeleke administration has approved the dualisation of four roads linking Ede.

He listed the road to include; Akoda-Ede, Abere-Ede, Ofatedo-Ede and Orita-Ara-Ede,

Adeleke who spoke in Yoruba language, said: “Adeleke’s administration approved four roads to be dualized in Ede with huge amount of money. This is not good enough.

“I have people in Ede, and Ede has respected indigenes, but I want to appeal to my father, Timi of Ede, to take note of this situation and do something about it.

“How many dual carriage roads are in Osogbo, which is the state capital? Ilesa, Ila, Ikirun, and other places also need government interventions, not only Ede.”
