The lawmaker representing Osun East, Senator Francis Fadahunsi has called for unity among members of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election.

Fadahunsi gave the charge on Thursday when he visited his ward 4, Ilase, Obokun Local Government Area of the state.

According to the lawmaker who recently defected to the party from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the APC has the chance to beat incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke once every member is on the same page.

Fadahunsi also urged party members and Osun residents to troop out en masse to participate in the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voters Registration exercise.

He emphasized that unity is key before and after the party primary, which will hold between November and December, adding that any aspirant who emerges as the candidate of the party must be supported.

Fadahunsi said, “I believe that is very important for every member of the party to be on the same page. We should not allow anything to break us. That is the key to our victory.

“I know our governorship primary is coming up soon and we have a lot of aspirants. In as much as every one of them is qualified and can defeat the incumbent, only one person will emerge eventually.

“I want to appeal to everyone that whoever emerges, we should all support that person and work together to achieve our common goal which is winning the 2026 election. I am also calling on our people to go out and register for their voter’s card. That is our power”
