Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ijesaland have lauded the recent release of 30% mobilization funds for Ibadan–Ife–Ilesha dual carriageway and the Ilesha–Akure–Benin corridor.
The party stalwarts in separate remarks praised the decision of the Bola Tinubu administration which they said will go a long way in securing maximum votes for the President in the 2027 presidential election.
A leader of the party from Obokun LGA and the Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi eulogized President Tinubu for making good his promise by releasing funds for the Ibadan / Ilesa road.
Fadahunsi who is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry said “I have spoken to the President privately about the importance of this road and am glad he did not only promise fixing it but approving funds for it is a thing that gladens my heart. The President has shown he is a man of his words and I will encourage all politicians to make our words our bounds.”
The immediate past Speaker of Osun State, Timothy Owoeye in his words showered encommium on the President for his continous intervention in Ijesaland.
Owoeye who represented Ilesa East State Constituency in the House of Assembly for sixteen years said “It is safe to conclude that come 2027, the victory of the President in this axis like many others will be landslide.”
“This latest mobilization after the 12bn road construction in Eti-Oni, Atakumosa East LGA will without a doubt transform the economy of the Ijesha region. To have a smooth drive from Ibadan through Ife to Ilesa and then to Akure and Benin will hastily improve the development of our region and its inhabitants.”
Owoeye thanked the President on behalf of Ijesa sons and daughters, promising to repay his kindness during the general election.
