Residents of Akindeko and Akinlade in Alekuwodo area of Osogbo, capital of the State of Osun have commended on the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on the rehabilitation of roads in the area.
The road projects they say add up to the massive infrastructural facelift witnessed during the immediate past regime is a sign of relief and expression of the government’s commitment to their wellbeing.
According to the residents, the roads will spur a new lease of life with a boost in economic and social activities.
“He has done well because this road had been abandoned for a long time. We thank God for this road construction. We eulogize Governor Oyetola for this road. This road had been in a bad shape for a long time. We thank God it has been done now.
“Our business has improved. Before now, when this road was bad, our motorcycle was developing faults easily. People also hardly patronized Okada riders but since the construction of this road, we have seen changes. We are now healthier, we thank God and we are grateful to the Governor.”
They also saluted the present government for re-introducing life into their area as the socio-economic aspects of the people has been rejigged.
The 2.86km Alekunwodo roads network cut across Akindeko-Awosuru link road; Adejumo street with Oremeji spur Akinlade street; Isopako street; Adewale street; Ajigbotoluwa with a loop to WAEC road.
Since the inception of the Oyetola administration, the government has embarked on progressive road construction efforts that has secured a facelift in the economic potentials of that state.
From Ede township roads to Ejigbo, Osogbo to Iwo road among others, the continuity mantra has continued to consolidate on the legacies of the past administration with a focus on doing more to make the people of Osun happier.
