CP vows total enforcement as Osun begins second leg of COVID-19 lockdown

The Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, Johnson Kokumo, has vowed total enforcement as the State begins another round of lockdown tomorrow.

The notice was contained in a public service announcement issued by DSP Yemisi Opalola, the Police Public Relations Officer for the State command.

The CP had in his effort to ensure all COVID-19 movement RESTRICTION/SIT-AT-HOME order is obeyed, met with DPOs, Transport Unions in the State. A task force has also been set up to monitor vehicular movement across the borders and within the State.

The Commissioner of Police observed with consternation the existence of several routes at the State’s borders used for movement of vehicles and persons.

The Police Boss vows to leave no stone unturned to ensure those making incursion into the State despite the lockdown are arrested and prosecuted.

Mr Kokumo also used the medium to appreciate the DPOs for their resilience and job well done, while admonishing them to observe strictly the physical distancing rule.
