The lawmaker representing Ilesha East State Constituency has distributed large quantity of food items to the residents of Ilesha.
The lawmaker who doubles as Speaker of the House said the gesture is to cushion the effects of the government ordered lockdown on his good people of Ilesha.
The grassroot politician said being a local man has always afforded him the opportunity to feel the pulse of his people and provide succour whenever needed. He further calls for commitment to the well being of the people during the lockdown period.
He said the distribution of rice, semo and beans will be done across all the wards of constituency using the Community Based approach which makes it open to all irrespective of political or religious affiliation.
In his closing remarks, the Speaker said “I commend our people for complying with the order of Government, I also like to laud the effort of governor at containing the outbreak of COVID-19 in the state of Osun.
“The proactive measures of the Gboyega Oyetola led administration has in no small way reduced the rate of contraction of the pandemic of Coronavirus in our dear State.”
“No amount of hours that we spend at home to remain safe in time like this can be compared to loosing our previous lives to the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic.”
