We’re proud to be called your children, Osun Speaker tells Tinubu at 68

By Joseph Akanbi

The Speaker of the State of Osun House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, has paid glowing tribute to Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on his 68th birthday anniversary.

Owoeye’s tribute was contained in a personal letter he wrote to the former Governor of Lagos State, a copy which was made available to osun.life.

The Speaker in the letter said human beings were uniquely created for different purposes in life. However, central to Tinubu’s creation is Leadership.

The lawmaker said “By every standard and gauge, you are a true leader who does not only love to see his followers grow, but goes the full hog to see them advance in various spheres of endeavours. No wonder, many have passed through your crucible to greatness. Indeed, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, you are a worthy leader of note whose contributions and imprints in the sands of time, cannot be obliterated by the vagary of tides.”

“To me, for your never-relenting efforts at ensuring the betterment of the society coupled with your everyday contributions to our individual and national lives, we are ever proud to be called your children.”

“To this end, on behalf of myself, members and staff of the State of Osun House of Assembly as well as my political family, it is with great honour and privilege that I congratulate you on this auspicious occasion as you witness yet, another year in the land of living.”
