The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, has expressed great optimism ahead of today’s novelty match with the members of the executive council.
The novelty match which is part of activities lined up to mark Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s 1yr anniversary will pit members of the State Assembly led by Speaker Owoeye against members of the executive council led by Governor Oyetola.
The Speaker during plenary yesterday hinted at the resolve of the assembly under his leadership to make the democratic institution proud by leading it to victory.
“I want to warn members of the executive to come with basket to pack their goals tomorrow” he said.
In a brief chat with the State Commissioner for Youths & Sports, Hon. Yemi Lawal, he dismissed Rt. Hon. Owoeye’s assertion, saying the executive is fully prepared and strategically poised to claim victory today.
The novelty match which is scheduled for 2pm at the Osogbo City Stadium is expected to attract many dignitaries across the State and further strengthen the cordial relationship between the State Executive and the Legislature.
