The Executive Governor of Osun state, Mr Gboyega Oyetola has urged judges in the the State judiciary to emulate late Justice Gloria Oladoke, describing the deceased as a symbol of fairness and balance to the judicial arm of government.

The Governor made this known through his Deputy, Gboyega Alabi during the special valedictory court session organized in honour of late Gloria Oladoke at the High Court of Justice.

The deceased was described by the Governor as an epitome of fairness and balance in her dealings and the vacuum she left behind can never be filled by anyone as her death remains a great loss to the state and the country as a whole.

Oyetola posited that if all judges emulate deceased, the issue of being bias in the judicial arm will be a thing of the past. He said “Late Gloria Oladoke was a judge who up till the point of her death upheld rule of law and its principles. If all other judges could borrow a leaf from her life, there won’t be any case of judiciary being unfair in the country. “

The Chief judge of the state, Justice O. A Ojo in her lecture titled ” we have lost a rare gem” lamented that the death was so sudden as no one expected that some with such humane character to die so soon.

She explained that the good vision and aspirations that the deceased has for the judicial arm of government in the state can never be overemphasised as this was displayed in her pats achievements .

“Yeye oge as fondly called by her admirers was an uncommon judge, a resourceful woman, a good mother and wife as well as highly reliable person to deal with. Though she has gone with her beauty, but her beautiful memories will forever remain in our heart.” She said.

The event had in attendance, the Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Timothy Owoeye, the Commissioner for Justice, friends and family of the departed judge.
