The State of Osun Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Mr Adedayo Adewole has urged both the Management and staff of the Ministry to redouble their efforts in the area of internally generated revenue to enable the government meet the needs of the entire citizens of the state.
Mr Adewole stated this during the presentation of departmental activities by the directors of the Ministry ,held at the Conference hall of the Ministry, State Secretariat, Abere.
Adewole emphasized that internally generated revenue remains the formidable propelling force behind success of government.
He however commended them over their level of commitment and pro activeness towards their assigned duties even with short notice.
The commissioner said the Management has shown that they are ready to cooperate and work doggedly towards actualising the various laudable policies of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s government.
Earlier in his remarks, the Special Adviser to the governor on Agriculture and Food Security , Mr Abiodun Ajisefini also applauded the management and the staff for their punctuality and enthusiastic attitude on their duties.
Mr Abiodun stressed that all the leakages of the internally generated revenue should be blocked to assist the government to meet various challenges of the Ministry and the State as highlighted by the various heads of departments.
He stressed further that they should be more productive at their works, saying the challenges are to be addressed and solved as the occasions demand.
In his response ,the Coordinating Director, Dr Olubukola Aluko appreciated the commissioner and Special Adviser on behalf of the entire management for their commendation and also assured them of unalloyed support and commitment by both the management and staff, especially in the area of increased IGR of the Ministry for government of Osun to actualise its laudable policies
He equally thanked Governor Oyetola for the appointment of Mr. Adedayo Adewole and Abiodun Ajisefini as the Hon. ‘Commissioner and Special Adviser respectively who are professionals in agriculture business.
