Due to the bad state of the arterial road connecting Osogbo to Ile-Ife, commuters as well as road transport operators are not finding travelling as easy as it ought to be.
Some of the road users who spoke with our reporter revealed that since their days of plying the road, the bad state of road was making usage a nightmare.
According to most of the transporters who majorly ply the Oore to Ile Ife route, they now have to spend extra hours on the road and hence have recourse to service their vehicles properly after each trip.
They also complained that as a result of the road, many of their colleagues were out of job due to faulty and unrepairable vehicles.
Most passengers also complained of decomfort at the end of every journey.
Wasiu, a student of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, said traveling to Ife every weekend is now a problem for him.
“I have to take pain killers and massage my body with balm to soothe the aches and pains after each journey”.
They however charged relevant authorities and government agencies to quickly come to their aid.
