The Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Senator Adelere Adeyemi Oriolowo, has described the rehabilitation of the Iwo-Osogbo road, as one of his major priorities.
Iwo-Osogbo road which is a fast link to Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, has been in a deplorable state in the last few years
However, during an interactive session with the people of his constituency at Iwo on Tuesday, the Chairman Senate Committee on Legislative Compliance, assured of his resolve to see to the rehabilitation and completion of the road known to be central to the economic life of the people of the area and the state as a whole.
Oriolowo, who as part of efforts to make a quality representation laced with transparency and accountability, met with various interest groups from his senatorial district and reeled out details of what he has been able to achieve since assumption of office as a Senator.
The interactive session afforded the people the opportunity to ask him questions and at the same time, counseled him on things he could do to make his representation, meaningful to them, the state and the nation.
In his remarks, Oriolowo assured that he would rally round the state government under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola, to ensure that adequate attention are given to Iwo-Osogbo road and others in the senatorial district currently begging for attention.
He said the issue of bad road networks in the senatorial district was of utmost importance to him and as such, he would ensure as well, that rehabilitation work on the Ejigbo-Iwo road commence soon.
On education and financial empowerments, he disclosed that he would work to improve on technical colleges in the district and also create a revolving financial loan for artisans and traders.
The Senator while thanking the various interest groups for their support, promised never to let them down by working assiduously towards enhancing the standard of living of the people of the senatorial district.
