Traders in Osogbo have expressed happiness over the high patronage by customers during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration despite the state of the nation’s economy.

The osun.life correspondent visited some of the major markets in Osogbo to ascertain the level of patronage for this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.

One of the traders who spoke with our correspondent, Mrs Salami, a ready made dress trader at the popular Orisunmibare Market said she experienced better patronage this year compared to last year.

Another trader who sells food items in Igbona Market in Osogbo also said that customers have been patronizing her since the beginning of the week in preparation for the Salah celebration.

“I really appreciate God for this year’s sales. The one of last year was lower compared to the one of this year despite of the economic instability. We are still hopeful that more people would show up as there is still few hours to Salah” she said.

However, Mr. Kabiru, a ram seller also said that customers came out a bit better than last year but said it is due to the price of ram might as prices were as low as N20,000.
