The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree on Friday postponed the computer-based qualifying test for applicants of the Higher National Diploma programme of the state-owned institution in order to afford the applicants time to celebrate the Eid-el-kabir with their families and also to prepare for the entrance examinations.
The notice of postponement was contained in an internal memo signed by the Registrar of the institution, B. M. Salawu Esq., said the exams which was earlier scheduled for Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th August 2019 would now hold on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd August 2019.
The memo read, “The Management of Osun State Polytechnic Iree has postponed the Qualifying Computer Based Test (CBT) for applicants of Higher National Diploma (HND) Programme of the Institution for the 2019/2020 academic session earlier slated for Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th August 2019”
“A release signed by Registrar of the Institution, Mr. Busari Salawu indicates that the new date for the Computer Based Qualifying Test for the aspirants is now Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd August 2019”
“The Registrar explained that the postponement was to enable the aspirants to prepare adequately for the test because of the Eid-el-kabir break declared by the Federal Government on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th August 2019”
“The statement also added that the Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000) admission application form is still available on the website of the Institution for sales, while those who have obtained the application form are still expected to register online for the qualifying test with a sum of Three Thousand and Three Hundred Naira (N3,300) only.
The release, however, urged all the applicants to print out their registration form to enable them to know the date, venue and time of their test”
“Meanwhile, applicants who are still willing to obtain the application form are given the opportunity till 12-noon of 22nd August and sit for the screening promptly”.
