As primary and secondary schools in Osun State proceeds on long term sessional break, the trio of Prince Dotun Babayemi, Honourable Taiwo Oluga and his colleague at the House of Representatives, Hon. Bamidele Salam would today, Monday, August 5 kick off summer schools classes for students within their constituency.
Prince Dotun Babayemi who recently decamped from Action Democratic Party (ADP) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), continued his annual summer school programme for students of Osun West Senatorial district, the programme has always been the focus of his empowerment programmes and intervention.
On her part, Hon. Taiwo Oluga, representing Irewole/Isokan/Ayedaade Federal Constituency in the house of representatives would also flag off her own summer school initiative in all the local government listed above at eight centres as part of her contributions to keep secondary school student busy while on the holiday.
In the same vein, the Honourable representing Ede Federal constituency in the house of representatives, Hon. Bamidele Salam would also begin his summer school initiative where students of the federal would be taught English Language and Mathematics in ten centers covering all the local government under his jurisdiction. The exercise would last till September 5, 2019.
While speaking with osun.life, the Media Assistant to Hon. Bamidele Salaam, Mr. Dayo Oderinu, said the summer school initiative by his principal is to keep the students busy instead of roaming the streets.
He also asserted that the effort would enable the students to learn new things as they have assembled experts that would take them in the two main subjects.
osun.life had reported that Osun State government under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola July 25 directed both the public and private schools in the state to proceed on third term holidays on Friday 26th July 2019 for 2018/2019 academic session while they are expected to commence fresh academic year on 16th September 2019.
