Slain Osun LG staff to be buried Wednesday

A staff of Atakumosa West Local Government Area of Osun State, Mr. Adenipekun Ademiju, who was murdered by suspected bandits on 12th June, around Ikire while he was traveling to Ibadan in company of two others would be buried on Wednesday amidst tears by families and colleagues who have been expressing their sadness over the demise of the deceased.

In a phone conversation with the Osun State President of National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Deji Adeyeye, he said the union has been relating with the Osun State Police Command over the case in order to ensure that the perpetrators of the dastardly act are brought to book while he also commended the professionalism displayed by State Police Command over the issue

The labour leader said the union has gotten in touch with the family of the deceased and have also been mobilizing his members for the burial arrangement of the slain local government worker.

In a chat with Osun Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Folashade Odoro, she told osun.life, that three suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder

The Osun PPRO said the three arrested suspects were caught in the bush having failed to give a reasonable account of what they were doing in the bush while the police attached to Operation PuffAder were combing the area where the men of the underworld carried out the dastardly act.

She also disclosed that no stone would be left unturned over the case, as she said the investigation is still ongoing.
