The Senator-Elect for Osun West Senatorial District, Engr. Adelere Oriolowo has expressed his sadness over the death of a youth leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress who also doubled as his coordinator for Egbedore Local Government, Mr. Godstime Timothy David, who died on Saturday.

In a press statement personally signed by him, the Senator-Elect described late Godstime as a very dependable and resourceful ally who was very committed to Oriolowo project during his lifetime.

The Iwo born politician who regretted that he could not be part of the burial which happened yesterday arrangement said he sent a powerful delegation to take part and commiserate with the family.

Oriolowo said “I am unable to personally attend due to several official activities scheduled ahead of Tuesday’s inauguration of the 9th Senate of which I’m a member. I have sent a delegation and offered my condolences and support to the family.”

Until his death, late Godtime Timothy David who hails from Odo Owa, Kwara State, was the G.O.P (an acronym for the campaign organization for the Senator-elect) coordinator for Egbedore local government.

Just like the deceased name, Godstime, Oriolowo said his death is a wake-up call to all and sundry that we are all mortals and we have our appointed time with our God.

In his words, “we must live righteously for we do not know when God’s time will come, even though Timothy’s time came sooner, it is our prayer that the Almighty God rest and repose his soul”, he concluded.
