The Osun State Police Command being abreast of its constitutional duties and its assiduous task to ensure people of the State go about their legitimate activities and sleep with their two eyes closed without fear of insecurity, has re-engineered and emplaced stringent security mechanism to make the State inhabitable for criminals.
This was contained in a press statement released to newsmen in Osogbo, the state capital by the state command public relation officer, Mrs. Folashade Odoro.
She said, the warning becomes expedient as the Command is more equipped and prepared to take the bull by the horns and tackle all kinds of crime like kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, drug abuse, banditry, and other violent crimes.
Despite the prevailing security challenges in the country, the Command under the watch of CP Abiodun Ige will not relent and not allow crime to proliferate as the State will continue to maintain its status quo as the most peaceful State in the country.
Therefore, all forms of criminal incendiary will be checkmated in all nook and crannies; criminals are warned to have a rethink as the Command has declared total war on unscrupulous elements.
In view of this, the Commissioner of Police enjoined members of the public to support co-operate and collaborate with the Police in fighting crime and bring it down to the barest minimum.
Moreso, the Command is aware of some unconfirmed stories of the increasing insecurity situation in the State being peddled on social media and wish to state categorically that the State is peaceful, members of the public are to disregard any unconfirmed false reports from any unwarranted source.
