Wealthy and successful Nigerians have been implored to embrace in totality the spirit of assisting and supporting the less privileged in the society as enunciated in the philosophy of ramadan fast.
The Asiwaju musulumi of yorubaland including Edo and Delta states , Alhaji Kharmis Olatunde Badmus stated this in Osogbo , the Osun state capital in his Eid message made to celebrate the end of the ramadan fast with muslims .
Asiwaju Badmus said successful Nigerians can support the government to reduce poverty by engaging in philanthropic activities, creating jobs and giving soft and interest-free loans to upstarts and artisans.
He maintained that poverty and spiralling unemployment are direct causes of rising cases of criminal enterprises.
The muslim leader also enjoined muslims to imbibe the spirit of hardwork , resilience , spirituality , honesty , fear of Allah , love , patience and kindness that the ramadan fast preaches.
According to him , it is only when love blossoms among the populace that the rapid development , peace and progress of Nigeria can be ensured.
