The Senator-Elect for Osun West Senatorial District, Engr. Adelere Oriolowo has congratulated Muslims on the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, which marks the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

In a statement released to osun.life, Oriolowo urged Muslims to sustain all the goods values exhibited during the holy month which he said centered on sacrifice, charity, and love for one another.

According to him, “I congratulate our brothers and sisters in Islam on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan. Ramadan being of the core pillars of Islam, it is a month filled with abundant blessings of Allah, specifically designed for the restitution of mankind from worldly sins”

“I am convinced that Muslims all over the world particularly our dear State of Osun have leverage on this to close the gap with Allah through total abstinence from sins and all that He forbids”

“I, however, urge Muslims not to go back to all the sins they have exempted themselves from during the holy month, rather, they should use the opportunity to continue to live a good life and strive to become a good citizen, husband, wife, neighbour in line with the teachings of the Holy Quran and as taught by Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)”

“Also, we should use this important opportunity to pray for our nation Nigeria because Allah’s intervention is needed at this point more than ever to solve the prevalent insecurity in our nation.” he concluded.
