The Senator-Elect for Osun West Senatorial district, Engr. Adelere Oriolowo has condoled with the Olowu of Kuta and the entire people of Kuta community area of Ayedire local government of Osun State over the recent heavy downpour that destroyed property worth millions of naira and rendered residents homeless.
The Senator-Elect in a press statement he sent to osun.life, said he has personally reached out to the emergency management agency for necessary support that would bring succor to the victims of the sad incident.
In his words, “I was very sad when I received the news of the incident considering the number of victims affected and property destroyed. Honestly, I commiserate with Oba Adekunle Makama and the entire people of Kuta”
“I have spoken with the leadership of the Emergency Management Agency to see how they can assist the victims, we cannot afford to abandon them at this critical point of their needs”
You will recall that last week Thursday was a sad day for the people of Kuta Community when nature visited them in a most unpleasant fashion. It all started at 5:30 on Thursday evening.
Many residents of the community thought it was rain as usual, but it ended badly, even the Palace of the Traditional ruler of the town, Oba Adekunle Makama was not spared as the rainstorm destroyed property worth millions of naira, including vehicles.
The victims of the rainstorm, however, have called on both the state and the federal governments to come to their aid.
