The Senator-Elect for Osun West Senatorial District, Engineer Adelere Adelowo Oriolowo has eulogized the minister of health, Professor Adewole, for his sterling performance as the representative of the State in the Federal Executive Council in just concluded first tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, just as he described him as a rare gift to the state.

Engr. Oriolowo dropped this hint while speaking exclusively with osun.life recently on national issues and how he has been able to cope with the stress associated with their induction programmes organized by the national assembly management including the politics of leadership of the Senate.

The Osun West Senator-Elect said many of the reforms the Honourable Minister of Health initiated at the ministry and other agencies under his supervision resulted into a free outbreak of diseases and management of health emergencies under the Buhari’s administration.

In his words, Oriolowo said “Prof. Adewole has within the space of three and a half years attracted many international grants to Nigeria to further support the government efforts toward a more better and efficient health care service delivery for all and sundry, the evidence was part of the $20 million dollars Federal Government and World Bank grant Osun won recently which is being used to resuscitate and equip about three hundred and thirty-two health centres (332) in the State”.

” Of particular of note among his many programmes was the National Health Care Insurance Scheme which before his assumption was riddled with corruption and malpractices but, Prof. Adewole using Mr. President’s anti-corruption drive and put the NHIS scheme in the right perspective. Today, both government and private hospitals have embraced the scheme.”

“I want to emphatically say that we are really proud of him, he has represented us well and the world knows that we have qualified manpower in all areas of human endeavour in Osun”

Oriolowo, however, pray for the erudite professor while he also expressed confidence that something good would also come to his way in no distant future.
