In order to honour the good legacy and philanthropy of late Mrs Esther Odofin Otunola, her family has concluded plans to launch a foundation named after her to immortalise her and continue her good works.
Speaking with our correspondent immediately after the burial, Mr. Biodun Otunola, said the Foundation which will be targeted at helping children and empowering women, is a collective effort by family members.
His first son, Femi, a community leader, says the initiative was inspired to keep alive the good works of his mother who was a champion in taking people from nothing to something.
In his words, another son, Bode said ”Mami was a caring, compassionate and generous mother who went through a lot to make sure we were succesful, giving back to the society through the foundation is the only way to appreciate and remmeber her.”
Kayode, who is the last child of the family, told our correspondent that the family decided to do this because we were blessed with a wonderful mother and we are glad to be raised by her. ”People always say you don’t know the value of what you have until you have lost them.” he concluded.
