As Muslims across the world continues the Ramadan fast. The Chief Imam, Gbelefefe Central Mosque, Modakeke, Alhaji Jamiu Ojeleye has expressed his joy and gratitude to Almighty Allah for sparing his life to witness yet another Ramadan.
He said “Ramadan comes with a lot of advantages, it is a month where prayers are answered with speed, a month where good deeds are multiplied to us. All Muslims at this time should be devoted to prayers, alms giving, and love sharing”.
He urged all Muslims to devote themselves fully to the worship of Allah throughout the Holy Month, and use the period to pray for leaders at all levels, progress, peace and prosperity of the nation.
Also, Alhaji Abdulfatai Adeyemi, Chief Imam, Gaji Mosque, Olorunda, Osogbo expressed his delight to Allah for preserving him. He futhermore enjoined all Muslims to abstain from vulgar words, deceit, and other things that make a man unholy before God, he urged Muslims to practice alms giving, study the Quran and pray fervently as every prayer offered at the month of Ramadan is answered.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar in which Muslims observe one month fast.
Fasting in the month of Ramadan, one of the five pillars of Islam, is a compulsory religious obligation on all adult Muslims.
