Pharmacies in Osun state (both pharmacist owned and non pharmacist owned) have been directed to observe 2hrs closure between the hours of 12noon and 2pm on Tuesday 7th May 2019.
This is in compliance with the directives of the national executives of the Pharmacist council of Nigeria, the warning strike is part of efforts to get the pharmacy bill signed.
The Pharmacy bill which was scheduled for President Muhammadu Buhari’s assent was suddenly discovered missing between the national assembly and the presidency, hence the strike to call attention of Nigerians.
In order to ensure compliance by all pharmacies in the state, monitoring team has been set up to move round in all major towns.
