Pictures from the maiden edition of Aenon Foundation’s Science Competition

It was an atmosphere that emphasised on the future when Aenon foundation, concluded its maiden edition of secondary schools science competition on Thursday, March 21, 2019.

The competition which held at the King Riverside Resorts, Iwo, Osun state, brought together policy makers, academia and other personalities, who watched students displayed their brilliance for the prize award.

Aenon foundation is a philanthropic gesture of Engr. Ademola Adedapo to give back to the society– an intervention that is making tremendous impact in uplifting lives as clearly demonstrated with the secondary schools science competition.

The competition which began with the 98 public secondary schools in Osun West senatorial district, produced four finalists, who contested for the top prizes before an attentive audience.

At the end of the five rounds of the competition, Agbola Francis from St David High School, Ode-Omu, picked the top spot with a total of 45 points and was rewarded a N250,000 cash prize and a laptop, while Oladepo Caleb from Baptist High School 1, Ejigbo and Taliatu Sofiya from Baptist High School 4, Iwo who came runner-up and third place went home with N150,000 and N100,000 and a laptop respectively. There was also a N25,000 consolation prize given to the fourth place, Oyeleke Alice from Adventist High School 1, Ede as an encouragement for future better performance.
