The government of the state of Osun has denied rumour making the rounds that it is planning to revert to the payment of modulated salaries to its workers.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Supervisor for Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji and made available to this medium by Kingsley Omoyeni, the Information Officer, Ministry of Finance, Abere.
According to the statement, the administration of Mr Gboyega Oyetola has never at any time consider going back to the modulated salary regime, instead government is determined to make life better for all civil servants in the state.
Mr Bola Oyebamiji then urged civil servants and members of the public to disregard the antics of mischief makers who are solely out to disrupt the peaceful relationship between labour and the government of the state of Osun.
Specifically, the statement reads “We wish to state categorically that the state government of Osun under the leadership of Mr Gboyega Oyetola has never thought of reverting to the payment of modulated salary regime”.
“We are therefore using this medium to assure the state workers that instead of listening to mischief makers, they should be hopeful and prayerful because the present administration is determined to make life better for them.
“The state government hereby warns the mischief makers to desist from peddling false information that is capable of disrupting the relationship between labour and the government of the state of Osun”.
