The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have dominated the elections into the Osun State House of Assembly just as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) recorded a woeful performance.
Many had expected the PDP to consolidate on its moderate success at the recent Presidential/National Assembly election here in Osun State and give the APC a good fight. The PDP won 5 LGAS in its victory of the Osun East Senatorial District, it also won 3 House of Representatives seat.
However, results declared across the Twenty Six State Constituencies shows that the ruling APC will constitute a clear majority in the next assembly. The PDP claimed 3 seats while the ruling APC has claimed 22 seats with a possible 23 pending the outcome of the rerun in Oriade State Constituency.
