A former governorship aspirant under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC), Engineer Adelere Oriolowo has been reportedly favoured for Osun West Senatorial ticket under the platform of the APC.
Insider sources within the Government House disclosed to our correspondent that Engr. Oriolowo, the Project Coordinator of the Rural Access Mobility Project (RAMP), has been pencilled down for the Osun West senatorial district ticket.
The Iwo born Technocrat whose name has been highlighted on top of the list to compensate for the doggedness of the Iwo people despite the failed ‘Iwo Lokan Agenda” and been the headquarter of the Senatorial district..
The town has also been allegedly marginalised for the slot since 1999 after the term of Senator Sunday Fajinmi at the red chambers.
The former Permanent Secretary of the ministry of water resources and rural development has been favoured because of his commitment and loyalty to the party, when most of the aspirants from the west senatorial district turned their back against the Governor elect, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.
Oriolowo who came fourth at the APC primary election, pledged support for Gboyega Oyetola who later won the Governorship primary election.
However, the All progressive Party (APC) will conduct its Senatorial primary across the three districts of Osun State on Friday 5th of October 2018
