A former Minister of Police Affairs and ex-commissioner of Education in Osun state, Mr Jelili Adesiyan has said that the brilliant performance of the Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Senator Iyiola Omisore at the Channels TV governorship debate showed he was competent to pilot the affairs of the state.
Omisore had on Sunday put up an appearance alongside candidates of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, the African Democratic Congress, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade and the Action Democratic Party, Moshood Adeoti in a governorship debate organized by Channels Television.
Adesiyan made this known while featuring on a Yoruba current affairs programme, ‘Agba Oselu’ on Rave 91.7Fm, in Oshogbo on Monday.
The Odeomu-born politician noted that Omisore’s stellar performance had also increased his approval rating, emphasising that the chances of becoming the next governor of the state has bloated.
According to him, “With what I saw in that debate, Omisore is the candidate to beat, He is already prepared and knows what he wanted to do for the people”
“So many people have changed their mind to vote for Omisore, because of his performance, that has also added to his approval ratings, which has increased his chances of winning assuming it was 69% before now the performance has improved his chances by 80%, ” Adesiyan added.
