YIAGA to deploy 500 Observers for Osun Governorship Election

A Civil Society Organization, Youth Initiative for aadvocacy, Growth and Advancement (YIAGA), has promised to deploy over 500 observers for the Osun Governorship Election slated for  September 22nd.

The Project Manager of the organisation, Mrs Cynthia Mbamalu, made this disclosure during a round table meeting with the stakeholders involved in the Osun governorship election.

Mbamalu noted that over 500 stationary and 31 mobile citizen observers will go for random sampling at the 250 polling units across all the 30 local government areas of the state. She added that parallel vote tabulation methodology will be used to collate results to observe and verify the accuracy of results.

Lastly, She stressed that polling units with high number of registered voters will be given utmost consideration, while observers will be carefully selected to ensure all local government areas were adequately covered.
