The Osun State Police Command has arraigned a 32-year-old man, Abiodun Olawale Adesola before an Osogbo Magistrate’s Court for allegedly stealing electric wires from a shop.
Abiodun was docked before Magistrate Falilat Sodamade on a two count charge bearing on Felony to wit stealing.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Fagboyinbo Abiodun told the court that the defendant committed the offense on July, 3 2018 at about 10.pm at Borepo chemist Ayetoro area in Osogbo.
He further explained that the accused person broke into a shop occupied by one Taiwo Adetola with intent to commit felony to wit stealing.
Inspector Abiodun informed the court that the defendant stole electric wire, monitor and speaker valued N200,000 property of Taiwo Adetola, the complainant.
The prosecutor submitted that the offense contravene section 414,383 and punishable under section 390(9)of the criminal code cap 34 volume 11. laws of Osun State 2003.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the two count charge against him by the police. The defense counsel, Mrs B. Y A Dada prayed the court to grant her client bail in affordable terms.
The Magistrate, Mrs Falilat Sodamade, granted the defendant bail of 50,000 with one surety.
She said the surety must reside within the court jurisdiction, swear to affidavit of means and provides three passport photograph with evidence of three year tax payments to the Osun State government.
She hereby adjourned the case to August 1st for hearing.
