PDP is set to take over Osun – Durotoye

Professor Adeolu Durotoye, a gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has disclosed that the party is set to take over from the incumbent government of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

 

Durotoye, in an interview monitored by our correspondent on Gold FM 95.5, spoke on the financial status of the State, he stated that financial engineering, understanding and acumen is the solution to the accumulated debt incurred by the present government of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

“Over-trading has killed this state, we will need a lot of financial engineering, understanding and acumen to wriggle through and solve these problems”. Durotoye said

He assured the masses of a balanced economy, payment of workers salary as at when due, agricultural revolution in three main produce; Palm oil, Cashew, and Rice, encourage open market economy, talent development among youths and quality education.

Furthermore, he advocated for Local Government Autonomy so as to ensure that the people are equally catered for, saying it is the closest government to the people.

The Governorship hopeful further enjoined delegates not to mortgage their future for stipends by taking oath to support any aspirant.

Lastly, he assured the people of Osun that the upcoming PDP primary election which will be free, fair and transparent, is designed to elect a credible candidate, saying the party is solely fixated at rescuing the state from its current crisis.
