Osun 2018: Akere challenges aspirants to debate

A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Sunday Akere, has challenged all the aspirants for the September 22, 2018 governorship election in Osun State to an open debate.

Akere, a former Commissioner for Information and Culture in the state, also called on the electorate to vote wisely during the election, according to a statement.

He said, “To those who are vying with me, I throw a challenge for them to come out in the open for a debate on their manifestos, detailing how they want to move Osun State forward.

“In and out of the government, I have been driven by the passion to see Osun State grow. I have a blueprint on how to improve on what we have on the ground in the state. The state deserves continued development.”

Akere promised to focus on education, agriculture, youth, sports and infrastructural development if he was elected governor.
