Opposition behind Herdsmen killings in Benue, Taraba – Osun Commissioner

By Femi Adesola

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs of the State of Osun, Barrister Kolapo Alimi, has berated the opposition in the country, saying they are behind the killings in the North central region of the Country.

Barr. Alimi stated this while fielding questions on a radio program ‘Frank Talk’ on Rave 91.7 FM,  monitored by our correspondent.

He said the opposition is using the killings to score political points that the current administration is not doing enough to secure the life and property of its citizenry.

The Commissioner in his remarks said “What is actually going on in Benue and Taraba has political undertone, don’t let us be dividing ourselves along religion line, just because they want to prove a point, how could someone go to church and be killing people? That’s too callous, they wanted to bomb and kill Emir Sanusi, everyday people are being killed in the mosques, its not normal, its because some people somewhere just want to prove a point, they have lost relevance, and they know this man is performing, they want to show to the world that He is not competent, Guerrilla war is everywhere even in America its very difficult to tackle.”
