Children’s Day: Lasun Harps On Child Security and Education

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Lasun Yussuff has stressed the need for all stakeholders to prioritize the Security and Education of children to safeguard their future.

In a statement to felicitate with Nigerian Children on the occasion of the 2018 International Children’s Day, the Deputy Speaker elucidated the numerous merits of Education and Security to young individuals who cannot protect themselves from the ills embedded in the society of today.

Hon Lasun Yussuff who advocated for concerted efforts from all stakeholders in ensuring that the younger generation especially Children get the best from childhood to make them better Leaders of tomorrow.

He also advised parents and guardians to put in place measures that will guarantee the safety of their wards in and outside the home coupled with effective home training, monitoring and guidance always.

The Deputy Speaker said “The security and safety of our children is one of the most important things parents and stakeholders and give to their children the best legacy which is Education. It must not be toyed with and should be given adequate attention.”

“Besides this, those saddled with the responsibility of taking care of children are advised to also monitor their children both at home and in school. They should also be interested in the kinds of friends their children make, play and mix with.”

“Above all, the government’s role of ensuring the safety of children in schools is imperative. Our children should be safe in their schools while their safety from kidnapping, rape and other vices should be checked.”

The Osun APC Governorship Aspirant however wished Children across the globe especially in the State of Osun a Happy Celebration.
