The accused is standing trial on a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
According to the prosecution, the accused committed the offences on March 4 about 11.30 a.m. at All Souls Chapel Church, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
The accused conspired with others now at large to commit the offence, Insp. Sunday Osanyintuyi told the court.
He said the accused and others stole a Toyota Camry car marked EQ 299 ABJ valued at N3.8 million and a Samsung phone worth N26,000, property of Mr Fagbohun Babatope, the complainant.
The accused, however, pleaded innocence of the offences and her lawyer, Mr Ben Adirieje, made an oral application for her bail.
But Magistrate Olalekan Ijiyode refused the oral bail application and asked the defence counsel to file a formal application for the bail.
Ijiyode remanded the woman in prison pending the hearing of the bail application and adjourned the case until June 20.
